The contest began in May 2011 shortly after TSC Media Specialist Mr. Stalker unearthed a TRS-80 from a colossal archaeological dig in the East Tipp Media Center. The self-described 'microcomputer' was carefully transported to Room 9, where Mr. Rice could watch over it while fondly remembering his programming days on the state-of-the-art machine in 1982. It now exists only to bring a full 16K of joy to the happy students of East Tipp Middle School.
